DESCRIPTION:“The Second Great Awakening” Religious Revivals in Early 19th Century New England \nThe first several decades of the 19th century ushered in an age of religious revivals and doctrinal fragmentation in New England.  This phenomenon is now referred to as “The Second Great Awakening”.
