Freedom’s Way Hidden Treasures – May 2021

Featuring New Historical Sign and the Twenty-Two Sites of the Early Lancaster Settlement Self-Guided Tour Map

The Lancaster Historical Society was fortunate to be awarded grant money from the Freedom’s Way Heritage Area and the Massachusetts Cultural Council to be used to fabricate and install a new sign to identify a significant site of the town’s early settlement.

We held a program that featured the unveiling of a new sign designating the location of Lancaster’s first two meeting houses. Where sign fabricators Mary and Allan Zoll, unveiled the sign identifying this significant site.

The program also included the release and distribution of our new self-guided tour map of Twenty-Two sites of the Early Lancaster Settlement. Click here to review the map, find out how to get a hardcopy, or to download.
